The Scottish Government launched the Healthcare Quality Strategy
in May 2010. The Strategy aims to make Scotland among the best in the world in terms of delivering high quality healthcare.
Long term conditions and self management are central to the Quality Strategy. The strategy will be the main vehicle for taking forward the long term conditions agenda and the third sector will be a vital partner for realising the strategy’s ambitions.
LTCAS is represented on the Quality Alliance Board by Audrey Birt, our chair, and on the Person Centred Delivery Group by Ian Welsh, our Chief Executive.
Please read our strategy for engaging LTCAS members in the Quality Strategy.
