What We Do
LTCAS aims to provide a voice for the two million people who live with long term conditions in Scotland. We work to improve the lives of these people, who represent 40% of the Scottish population.
Our vision is for a Scotland where people with long term conditions enjoy, not endure, full and positive lives - lives free from discrimination and supported by high quality services.
To achieve this vision, LTCAS:
- represents over 200 member organisations
- supports 81 self management projects across Scotland through the Self Management Fund
- is a strategic partner of the Scottish Government
- supports and strengthens the many organisations working in Scotland who support and represent people living with long term conditions, their families and unpaid carers
- works as a conduit between our members, the people they represent and key stakeholders across government and statutory services.
