LTCAS Annual Conference and AGM
'View from the centre: How can we achieve person-centredness for people with long term conditions?'
The first Long Term Conditions Alliance Scotland annual conference took place on 23 February at Perth Concert Hall. 200 delegates representing over 100 different organisations, drawn from LTCAS member and associate organisations, government, NHS, private healthcare, councils and voluntary organisations met to explore the question ‘How we can achieve person-centredness for people with long term conditions?'
Nicola Sturgeon MSP, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing opened the conference. Her address highlighted much of the work LTCAS has been involved in over the past year, and gave a great overview of the work being done in the voluntary and public sector.
A full conference report will be available soon.

'Seen and not heard'
Exploring issues facing children and young people living with Long Term Conditions
This was a very successful event which took place on Tuesday 10 November at Edinburgh City Chambers. It was attended by around 100 representatives from the voluntary sector, health, education and government. The conference produced a wealth of discussion and ideas which LTCAS will seek to capture in a report to be published very soon.
