Manifesto

There are an estimated two million people living with long term conditions in Scotland – that’s more than the number who voted in the 2003 Scottish Parliament elections.

A key reason organisations came together to form LTCAS was to have a stronger voice in campaigning.

Over the past two years we have used that voice to keep long term conditions high on the agenda and to drive policy on self management. However, we know that a wide range of issues - not just those relating to health or the NHS- affect the lives of people with long term conditions.

Click here for more information on our manifesto or here to read to our new set of briefings produced to go with the manifesto.

Personal Stories Project

LTCAS believes in the power of personal stories from people living with long term conditions.  We are gathering people’s stories so we can present these in a range of formats.

This project will:

  • bring LTCAS’ messages to life
  • give human faces and voices to our work
  • create a tool that can be used by members in their own work and enable people with long term conditions to hear each other’s experiences.
